unable to lose weight while breastfeeding, questions?

I'm a 26 yr old mother of 3.. ages 6, 18 months and 3 months, I've been overweight most of my life however after the birth of my 18 month old i got serious about getting down to a healthier weight I lost some weight and was down to 200lbs when I got pregnant again by accident, i didn't gain much this last pregnancy I'm now at 208lbs. problem is I've been there since my 3 month old was born I'm breastfeeding, working out an hour at the gym every other day and 30 minutes at home the other days, eating lite counting carbs, calories i have a protein bar every morning for breakfast, a large salad for lunch w/ oil and vinegar and dinner which is the only meal I eat meat. i drink 10-12 glasses of water daily , only eat whole wheats, i use splenda when needed.I don't drink soda. I use 1% milk. I want so badly to get down to a healthy weight but it seems I can't lose the weight

where am going wrong ?

how much longer should I try before I seek help from a dr.

( whom at this point brush me off as eating not healthy or not exercising)

    Wow are you still able to produce enough milk for your baby? I had to stop working out because it was causing my supply to diminish. I started to do weight watchers point system online (they actually take into account your breastfeeding). I've lost 25 pounds safely in three months. I do low impact stuff like the winsor Pilate's and walks with my daughter. I still have a ways to go since I gained over 80 pounds while pregnant (I couldn't imagine where I would have been if I was an unhealthy eater). What kind of eating habits do you have? I follow a weekly menu that I post on the fridge, it consists of a protein, carb and fruit/veggie at every meal (breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner) I also Incorporated the lean cuisine entrees as my lunch, they're actually not that bad and I enjoy that they take way less time and thought. Plus, they're easy to count when doing the points. It can take up to a year before you get your prepreg body back so don't beat your head against the wall just yet...Slow and steady wins the race! =) Good luck!

    First, be gentle on yourself. It's only 3 months since bub was born, and your middle one is so close in age. It's not unusual to struggle with weight with two so close together.

    But having said that, you should be losing weight with what you've described (unless you've missed a pizza or two a day in your description), so there may be another issue. Go to the doc and before they have a chance to brush you off, tell them what you've been doing to try to lose the weight. Then ask for a full health check to investigate why you're not losing weight.

    it sounds like you are doing the right things. You may think of increasing fruits or veggies a bit. Have an orange with that protein bar maybe. i try to alternate between Fiber One cereal with fruit one morning and then an omelet with mushrooms and zucchini the next. It almost seems to me that your body gets used to the same foods.

    You should try 3 days on that diet and then a day of eating light, but whatever you want. I know someone who did this and lost 20 pounds. Because you have to confuse your metabolism, which starts to adjust to your diet !

    IF this doesnt give you results in a month, i'd tal kwith your dr...
