Previous Flu Survivors Immunity?
I know a relative who nearly died of the Flu epidemic in the 50s when he was a Young Adult, would his Immunity be better to the new flu epidemic if he were to catch it now, because he is in his late 60s.

It's quite possible he would have some immunity, although he would not be completely immune. The current version is slightly related to previous swine flu strains that he no doubt has had and survived. It would give him a slight edge over the under 30 set. As long as he doesn't have any other underlying medical conditions, with his heart or lungs, he should be fine. He should still take reasonable precautions, but nothing over the top.

No .. Each strain of flu is different . To have one strain does not confer any immunity to other strains or varieties ./ That is why the annual flu jab issued to vulnerable people each year is different to previous years . It reflects the strain expected in the coming year and will only confer a degree of immunity to that particular strain .

No. Not unless he contracted exactly the same flu strain again.
That's the problem with flu - the virus is constantly changing so the human race can't be immune.
