Why are more people going to vote for American Idol than in the California special election today?

typically special elections have a low turnout. the voters that cared, and were really angry, did vote. The props went down in flames!

I helped run a poll. our turnout was really bad but we let the weasels know that we are angry!

That we need a Real break from all the Bad News, The Bad Economy, The Bad Politicians with promises that really don't do squat for the "Regular Joe" who goes and tries to bust his hump for at least 40 hours a day, with this economy that is a blessing if you have a job that's 40 hours! We need a little bit of an escape now and then, and America is voting, not just California!!!

Well, that's only because in American Idol, people will vote multiple times for their favorite contestant, so you can't really tell how many individuals are actually voting.

Because there are more people in America than there are in California.
