Why does only fathers bloodline count?
I am caucation, but my daughters teacher told me i had to put hispanic on the form, cause of the father. Why does only the father count?

The teacher seems to be ignorant, If you are Caucasian and the father is Hispanic than the child should be put as mixed ethnicity. I am not sure what your child's teacher was thinking, the teacher has no right telling you what your child's race is.

Your daughter's teacher is wrong. In the case of mixed race, it's up to the individual to put down what race he or she identifies with.

I pretty sure it doesn't matter what you put on the form since it's just statistical information. Tell the teacher that she's white and that's that.

If your daughter has one white parent and one Hispanic parent, and she looks white, and she considers herself white, you can put white. If she considers herself Hispanic, you can put Hispanic.

That's just how our system has been for...well centuries. It's kind of sad really that ethnicity is so important anyway.
