When did you transition your baby to a toddler bed?

We have 2 of the same crib in our house. If it's the same recall the slats are just prone to breaking and no deaths or injuries have been reported. It's a voluntary recall and we only received a $275 voucher (we paid over $300 for the crib)

I kept my first in a crib until she was 3 and plan to do the same for my second. He's only 2 now.

yes start today by putting is crib mattress on the floor. roll over accidents wont happen when hes only 6 inches off the floor. then..send that recalled crib back. its no biggie for him to be on the floor for even like two months. then make it a big deal to set up the big bed, get some new sheets etc and then ask him to try and lift the mattress up and set it all up. If he gets involved he will do much better at the transition. The only advice get ready for up and down up and down up and down all night. We baby gated the door way until our two kids learned to sleep on the mattress and then even sometimes they would fall asleep on the floor. just make sure to remove baby gate when you go to sleep.

Just go in there right now and throw the mattress on the floor. he probably will love it. pull it to the center of the room during the day and let him jump too. he will love that even more.

We moved him out of the crib at 18 months, when he started to hurl himself over the side. LOL We put his crib mattress on the floor and he slept there for another year, before moving him into a loft bed.

We got our 1st daughter her BIG GIRL bed at 20 months. She was such a restless sleeper, tossing all over the place, sleeping sideways, upside down, etc that we opted for a Full Size bed. She would not have lasted in a Toddler bed. She now loves her big bed and sleeps in it every night with all her Disney Friends (stuffed animals).

We moved my son to a big bed at 13 months

well really it is best to get them a twin bed with bed rail's because then you have to do it all over again after toddler bed !
