What do you think communism is?
Does anyone know what communism is? I have never met anyone who really knew what communism actually is. And most people I've talked about it seem to buy the lie that there have been communist governments. Of course, they therefore must also believe the myth that a communist government can exist in the first place. It is impossible by definition for any government to be communist. If it is communist it therefore, cannot be a government; if it is a government, by definition, cannot be communist. "Communist government" is an oxymoron.
By definition, communism is a classless, stateless society, with no concept of money.

What do you think government is?
Government is the group that makes and enforces the rules that a society is expected to obey.
Now ask yourself, can you have a society with no rules whatsoever? Even anarchy has a rule - that there are no rules.
Your version of communism is just a way of saying that the government is roughly equivalent to the population. It's not that there are no societal rules... just that everyone makes and enforces them equally.
Who catches the criminals? Who cares for the mentally ill? Nobody? Or everybody?
Communists have a government. Stop kidding yourself.

Because the people who actually work hard and own businesses do not want the government stealing heir prosperity and giving it to the lazy and useless among us. In other words, communism seeks to equalize everything by taking from the able or willing then giving to the unable or unwilling. But what it really ends up doing is spreading misery equally. In a communist society the people who work hard and own businesses scale back and do just enough to get by. They do not like the idea of government stealing their wealth and giving it to others so they essentially become lazy and useless and resort to doing just enough to get by. Communism seeks to split up one pie equally while capitalism seeks to make new pies. Get it? Wouldn't you rather have the freedom to create more pies than have the government issue you a the piece of the pie that they think you should have? Take a look at what happened to Russia in the 80's. Take a look at North Korea today. Take a look at the direction Venezuela is going. Do you really think communism is possible in a country of free minds and innovative thinkers? I content that it is possible in a country of slaves and followers. Which one are you? Communism brings mediocracy and misery. It sounds great to the lazy and useless among us because they get free stuff ... It sounds great to tenured left wing professors who have never created a product anyone could use or run a business because they get more power and praise. It also sounds great to politicians who gain ultimate power and control over wealth and subjects in a communist society. Communism works great on paper or until you run out of other peoples money. Then everyone goes hungry except for the ruling political class. IS THIS WHAT YOU REALLY WANT?

Communism is a classless society where the means of production are collectively owned directly by the working class.
It is a decentralized system where decisions are made democratically at the local level.
Money as a medium of exchange is rendered obsolete because workers are no longer alienated from their labor and lives. Money is eliminated. Human nature returns to itself since social alienation no longer dictates.
Karl Marx never intended that there would be a negation of all private property, or personal property. In Marxist terminology, "private property" referred to private ownership in capital, which at the time meant the means of production - not personal property.
Another thing the media conveniently ignores is that Marx said that you have to go through the full cycle of human development in order to get a society capable of socialism or communism.

And like a true democracy, impossible at our present state of technology (and likely to be fore centuries to come).
I understand completely. Socialism is what they are thinking of, usually, which is the failed effort in multiple countries that we are presently fighting to keep it from hurting our economy further (we are already partially socialist, because some people said, "It can't hurt, it's just a LITTLE bit!"
No thank you. Our founders had it right. No full democracy, no communism, no socialism, no fascism. Limited government, yes.

Socialism is all about economic equality. The government comes in to try and make everything equal. We already a little socialist. Socialism is an economic idea not a political idea.
Pure socialism doesn't work, pure capitalism doesn't work. That why WE have a MIXED economy.

Exactly what the definition is, so it has never existed.
It is often used to mislabele Totalitarianism.
Trust me you would much rather live in Communism, but there will never be a stateless society.
Karl Marx even said it would never exist.

I know. People get communist confused with authoritarian leftists. But as long as people call them that so will I.

Yeah its a hippie dream that has never and will never truly be achieved.
All that have tried have failed on epic proportions, which keeps the retarded philosophy alive with its supporters claiming "well it wasn't true communism so it didn't fail since it was never communism to begin with"

I think that Communism is when everything is owned and controlled by the state. There is no freedom or individuality.
