Solving by completing the square:

this is the equation

x^+3x-28=0

i quite dont get it because of the 3(odd number)

i've been doin all the other questions and they were even and now it is an odd and i dont know how to do that =p

please help

    ohh.

    you have to halve the 3. so its (x^2+3x+(1.5)^2)-(1.5)^2-28=0

    then solve.

    same as x^2+2x+1. the 2 in the 2x is halved then squared.^^
