Crow , Raven, or other bird?

Crow or raven what's the difference, and isn't there another bird that looks the same, we have some that come to our garden and bird feeder, but I don't know what the difference is. yep,, i'm a city gal.

They are large, and black, narrow black beak, and I think I've even seen some yellow beaks.

yellow beak is making me think you are seeing a starling in the mix

Ravens will be huge for the back yard, almost hawk size. 
Crows tail will be curved, Ravens tail will look like a wedge(comes to a point)   Coming to the feeder may be Grackles instead of Crows

Ravens are the largest birds of the Crow Family. Crows are a little smaller than the common seagull and usually hang out in Gangs while Ravens are more solitary

crows are generally much larger than ravens and are usually found in eastern states ravens are usually found in western states they are both extremely smart birds and are two of my favorite birds but some people find them to be a nuisance but none the less they are an important part of our eco-system there are also black birds and they are much smaller than crows or ravens.for more in depth call your local autobahn society
