Is a hunting bow and arrow a weapon? HELP!?

It IS a weapon, depends on which state you live in as to what age you can have one.

I'm not aware of the federal government making any laws that affect them, but give them another month or two.

States like California and NY and Illinois which basically ignore the Constitution will have more restrictions on weapons than other states.

Bow and arrows are not considered a weapon as to the point of where you have to fill out a BATF form like you do a rifle, shotgun or handgun. At least not here in my state.

You need to find a good sporting goods store that caters to sportsman and check with them. They can tell you all you need to know about buy a bow and if there are any restrictions...like age requirement.

Many metro area's / burbs consider a bow and arrow as well as air powered weapons as firearms.

The "No discharging of firearms within municipal limits" ordinances usually also stipulate this.

Where libs rule this is the rule.

You knew the traditional bow and arrow has been modified on many counts before classifying into a weapon category. From the age-old, traditional bamboo / wood made bow now turned into metal / carbon fiber weapon of life threatening type. (Japanese, Chinese, Korean). It is a classified weapon and as usual, needs to be categorized like all other fire-arms and ammunition, covering under local rules.

It is considered a weapon but NOT a fire arm.
