Kal penn died on "house" did he die in real life?

So, I was asking myself this very same question. And I have been doing my research. I mean really looking. And I feel that I can safely say "No" His sudden death on the show made me think that he did die, and had to write him off the show. (obviously)

I couldnt find any information about him, here on answers someone said he died in real life on April 2 by suicide but since I saw it today a few days later I dont think that is real.People are saying he is teaching at a university i dont know.They might update the site tonight.

i can not find anything online im starting to think that it is not real. im looking more into now.
