Jesus said many times that when we pray we are to ask in His name.
Joh 14:14 - If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
However, should a child of God forget to do so, they need not worry because the Holy Spirit, the intercessor will bring our prayers before Him as sweet incense
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. - Romans 8:26.

the bible contains many prayers . but people seem to miss the fact that God does not hear your lengthy and repetitious prayers . the prayers in the bible are not to be just memorized and recited . it is a guild line on how to and not to pray . you are not to ask for glory in your own name . but as you see many people standing holding hands or in masses praying even tho the bible says it is wrong . the bible tells that you are to pray in private not like the hypocrites . as a child i always felt uncomfortable when the preacher said all stand in a moment of silent prayer then the priest would bellow out his prayer and every one would shout there Amen and hallelujah . I didnt understand my discomfort till I sat down and read the bible for myself .

Yes.
Matthew 28:19 (Jesus is speaking)
"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,"
Further, Jesus says many times to ask for anything in HIS name, and it will be done for us. And he further links the Holy Spirit to this as well, by saying the Holy
Spirit will lead us into all truth:
John 16:12-15 (Emphasis mine)
12 "I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will NOT SPEAK ON HIS OWN AUTHORITY, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 HE will glorify ME, for he will TAKE WHAT IS MINE AND DECLARE IT TO YOU. 15 ALL THAT THE FATHER HAS IS MINE; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

Prayer is an offering up of our desires unto God for things agreeable to his will, in the name of Christ, with confession of our sins, and thankful acknowledgement of his mercies.
Psalm 62: 8
Romans 8:27

Daniel 9:4
Philippians 4:6

No, the bible tells us to pray in Jesus name:
Colossians 3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
