I got an idea to generate power from human resource could you mind thinking on it?

Hello all, I have an indigenous plan to create the electric power from the human resource. I mean if a man ride a cycle with a dynamo attached to it, he can use its power to get the bulb glowing. now imagine 100's of men driving a rotor which inturn rotates the generator and produces enough power to boil the water, and then the steam made to run through a steam power generator used mainly in thermal plants, can produce electricity,

now by implementing this plan there can be lot of job oppurtunities, and the job profile has only to state as how long you can drve a cycle, and also the workshop can become a breeding ground for new age cyclists.

howzaatttt!!! this is my idea, please let meknow how do you feel it.

is it a practical approach or an ideal case. please let me know.

coz I have saved this plan for my retirement, hahahha....

    Don't retire yet.

Not that it's not a great plan... but the problem is the human.

We're not that great at power production.

A star athlete at top performance might put out 1/2 Hp for a significant amount of time (15-30 minutes). An average person probably 1/4 Hp. A small 4 stroke engine can put out 5 Hp for 24 hrs/day and use a small amount of gas to do it.

Now it would be a great idea if good energy storage was available that you could make personal energy storage device to reduce your individual electric bill. Get in shape and save money too. That could work!

Power always takes fuel, and the fuel to drive your power is human resources, the fuel to drive humans is food. The amount of fuel to drive a human is more that what gas, oil, coal, that is would take to drive a comparable system. Also what it would take to supply the food and support the byproducts would make the human drive solution more costly. It is a good thought, but it requires more thought. Watch the Matrix, you might find a solution there.
