Anyone notice the only Footy Show (ARL) worth watching this year was when Russel Crowe talked some sense?

I used to love that program once upon a time.  Year by year, they have just got more and more self centred and ridiculous.  Matty John's 'acting' drives me insane, and it would be good if they could return to some serious comment about the game. 

When Russel Crowe was on a couple of weeks ago he blew me away with his knowledge of the game.  And he pulled those other idiots up every time they made a stupid throw away comment.

I'd watch the Russel show.  But those idiots ...  grow up boys!

It's always been a show aimed at the brain dead! Vautin turned me off it. I can't stand that man.The  only decent ones were all kicked off the show, or maybe they left in disgust. Who knows? I can well believe that Crowe would have been a breath of fresh air to this now, totally unnecessary waste of TV time.

To the AFL supporter, Newman is a cretin with his brain located somewhere south of his belt. I still curse that ex girlfriend who failed to finish the job when she ran over him.

I disagree with you....I think they have toned down the rubbish this year and are actually talking more footy

In fact they spent majority of last nights show going through each match in detail and discussing who would win. They even talked about the whole alcohol issue again and there was no "matty johns acting" last night either. I think they have finally found a good balance between serious footy talk and having a bit of fun

Get over it man, you're the only one that complains, why watch it than ***** about it afterwards, just watch another channel if its not as gloomy and straight to the point as you. As great as Rugby League is, it would get boring after a while just being serious all the time, Matty Johns is hilarious,and Fatty is priceless. Honestly, its great for them to talk serious like Crowe did, which they do, if something serious needs to be discussed thats one of the first things they do, but come on who wants to hear all the problems and drama in the NRL non stop, just relax and enjoy the boys weekly company lol Youre way too serious!

Mate the thursday nite footy show is ment to be like that its ment to b funny and have heaps of gags n crap I havnt watched it last year and this year but the sunday footy show and all the programs on sunday talk about footy and non stop footy that's wat its about

I hate it how they dont focus on the game as much as they should, sure they can be idiots for a while - but dont over do it.
