I wouldn't say remove the limit completly cos it would be way too dangerous, some going faster than others, will b crazy for many reasons of such. However I reckon they should raise the limit, least 2 80 or even 90-100 cos tbf 70s too slow for a m-way, a lot of modern cars have better braking systems and that and it was a limit set in the 60s, and a lot of m-ways u could easily go up2 90-100mph safely without causing any great deal of danger (cept 4 the presense of roadworks and stuff like that obviously), also could help reduce congestion too

A single speed limit for all motorways causes people to exceed it when safe to do so. Removing the speed limit would cause a lot of crashes.
If all motorways were monitored with average speed cameras, the speed limit could be raised to 90mph safely in a lot of areas.

yes i thinks the limit should be raised but not abolished, But how often can we reach the required 70 mph without encountering a jam of some description caused by careless drivers ??

I wouldn't mind if in certain areas they were raised. But no limits? No that would be inviting stupid people (like when I was young) to go all out and kill themselves and OTHERS.
Good Luck....

i agree to raising the speed limit, no one goes 70 anyway. but there should always be a speed limit

yes, the individual states should be able to determine their maximum speed limits I am against the federal govt regulating anything that doesn't involve interstate or international commerce

No. It would be too dangerous. Ned's/chavs may go flat out int their cars and crash.
