How many of you have quit smoking....?

Question

Tomorrow is two weeks for me since I put out what I am determined, was my last cigarette.  HOWEVER, yes, I am struggling at times, find it amazing how the cravings take over my moods even though I am determined never to smoke again.  How many of you out there in Polls and Surveys have managed to quit and stuck to it....... and how long before you stopped murdering your friends as a side effect???!

Well done and congratulations! You should be proud of yourself and try to keep going. My Dad recently quit smoking and hasn't touched any cigarettes for 3 months now. Well proud of him

-smoker for 12 years
-stopped for 3 and a half years, cold turkey because i was pregnant
-after all those years i started again due to being stupid
-5 month later i got a chest infection that landed me in hospital twice and lasted 6 weeks!!
-havent smoked since 1st February 2009 and never will again

I quit almost 16 years ago...cold turkey.  I now inhale Diet Coke instead.
