What do I need to take care of a kangaroo rat? What kind of enclosure, food, etc..?
My husband saved a kangaroo rat from certain death because he knows that I am an animal lover. He is in the army and the guys who live in the barracks were ordered to get rid of all of the animals in their rooms and some jerks had the nerve to start throwing animals out the window. Well my husband caught a kangaroo rat and is bringing it home and I need to know what it needs! I know nothing about them. please help!!!

kangaroo rats are not good pets, they are wild animals and should be left in the wild. would you like it if someone kept you in an enclosure? i realise he was trying to be nice and help animals but keeping it as a pet is really not in its best interest. the best thing to do would be try to find some kind of animal wildlife place that would take it.
