I went to age group state this weekend?
Age group state is for 12 and under kids only, and there was a girl wearing a speedo LZR! Does anyone else think this is kind of sick? I think it's okay for people that are like going to nationals or the olympic trials, but age group state?!

In our area, any knee length racing suits are banned for swimmers under 12 in competition.

I think that ridiculous cause at high school state you only see a few LZR's but if she is good why not. I think that when someone is not good and wears a LZR or full legs/body and gets beat by someone wearing a speedo then they look really funny. Almost acctually beat soeone that way once.

I swim in indiana and as long as I've been swimming. Swimmers of all ages have been wearing fast skins. this is age group state, high school, and senior state...even at regular meets i've seen people wearing them. I personally only wear them at big meets like High School State, Senior State, and speedo sectionals.

psfft, no, its not sick. if she wants to wear it, wear it. its gonna make her faster. States is the biggest meet of the year for some swim teams

You don't know, she might be way above state normally. And even if she isn't dominating, she might have gotten it as a present, hand me down, etc. Try not to judge. >.>
