Can anyone recommend a good book series for me?
I am a 12 year old female and I want a good book series to read. Please do not answer saying Twilight or Harry Potter. Give the name of the series, and explain what the books are about.
I am really in to the realistic fiction books, so if there are any books about things that could actually happen, that would be great.

agatha christie! she writes murder stories that are still captivating the audiences of today.I particularly enjoy her books featuring hercule poirot, a belgian detective.go on, give it a try! :)

Shannon Hale's books are ah-mazing... She writes a sort of fantasy crossed with realistic, and bases some of her works on the Grimm fairy tales. Try the Goose Girl series (there's 3)... Great books!! Just google Shannon Hale.
Chronicles of Narnia are amazing... A family finds a hidden land through a wardrobe and the following adventures
The Giver and Gathering Blue if they count as a series set in a future, where the discovery of the past can save those who live hopeless lives
I also love Gail Carlson Levine... She wrote Ella Enchanted,. the 2 princesses of Banmare and Ever to name a few. All around great books about girls who are willing to risk it all to become free of something...
