Why does it seem like only old people ever win the lottery?

Question

I am 24 and have been playing for a year occassionally. Is it the more years I play the more chances I have to win? Come on people, that's unfair. I need some cash and don't have children I'd need to share it with either but I would give some of it for a good cause so I think I deserve to win soon.......

I HATE going into a gas station to just get a drink or something... and having to wait 15 minutes because the guy in front of me is deciding which scratch off tickets to buy and what numbers to play
