Stories of violence against/from GLBT...?

would love to hear your stories....stories you'v heard or experienced....iv got 2 but dont read if your squeamish!...

A few years ago this guy from Christ Church (New Zealand) was walking home after work on xmas eve....he was pulled into a alley, badly beaten and raped! the news shocked the whole country!

It gave me chills down my spine when they described the attack as brutal and it lasted for about an hour! but the thing was....the victim was str8.....but i cant remember if the attacker was found or not.

even though gay teens are being accepted in schools, some kids still have some sort of instinct to beat up or bully kids who are or who they think Might be gay. A couple of years ago we were driving over the main bridge in Hamilton (NZ), and the cops had blocked half the road and tried to keep traffic going...we thought it was an accident but it was this emo girl standing on the rails...her wrists were slit...she had blood on her arms and her mascara was all over her face coz she was crying uncontrollably....later we heard she jumped but the story was (dont know if it was true or not) she was gay and being bullied at school.

I'v never been or heard of a friend being attacked so i can only watch and learn and be grateful that iv had a safe life....

im in the closet but it never stopped pple from suspecting and spreading rumors but i never got beat up

but i had to fight to keep the bullies off!
