Any suggestions as to how to get rid of bad breath?

I have horrible time trying to get rid of bad breath. I brush my teeth 4+ times a day, and use mouth wash. I have tried different types of toothpaste/toothbrushes/mouth washes, but nothing seems to help. I have braces, and use the little pick to get food that is stuck, out as soon as I get done eating. My orthodontist always tells me that I have very clean teeth. No one seems to notice my breath, except me. I use gum as soon as I feel it coming. (I know you're not supposed to chew gum with braces). Anyone have any suggestions as to how to get rid of it?

Update:

I'm sorry I was not specific. When I say "brush my teeth" that includes teeth, gums, tounge, and cheeks. Thanks for everyone that responded though!

Sinus Troubles are most often than not the cause of bad breath. The second very common reason is an upset stomach. Since there is not much you can do about your sinus, other than getting proper treatment for the same that is, what you can do is Increase your daily intake of water to at least 8-10 glasses a day. Secondly chew a sugar free gum after meals. For people with dental problems, dentists suggest brushing your teeth after every major meal (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). you are doing god with the Flossing and Using Mouthwash, they are good habits keep it up.

You did not mention about cleaning your tongue which is the major cause of bad breath. The bacteria that grow there must be removed if you are going to cure bad breath. Gum and mints just cover it up for a short time. The best tongue cleaner I know of is called OraBrush and is only available on the internet. Here is the reference if you are interested: http://www.orabrush.com/halitosis.php

Some food can be the cause of bad breath like onions, garlics. Milk based product like Coffee can also be a cause of bad breath because the milk will stay on your tongue.

Sip water with lemons throughout the day.

Maybe this site can help you to get rid of bad breath http://www.squidoo.com/badbreath-remedies

Brush or clean your tongue -- that seems to help a lot of people with bad breath. Otherwise, you may just be oversensitive to your own breath and maybe no one else notices what you perceive to be a "smell" -- ask someone else to smell your breath to see.

    Hi,

my mom used to have some seriously bad breath.

She all of a sudden decided to start eating really healthily.

It seemed to have a connection to her breath because it

didn't smell that bad when she had cleaned out her system.

    hope this helps!

    It might be your tongue.

You must brush it very well.

    Just to let you know,

    YOU CAN CHEW GUM.

You just can't chew the sugar gum.

As long as it is sugar free, you can chew it!

    (:

You could also use those very powerful mints.
