Help with my Citroen C3 please?
I have a Citroen C3 and recently it's been making a lot of screeching noises whilst I'm driving. It squeals when I brake, but also, it makes a squealing noise whilst I'm actually driving.
This is my first car and I'm not very sure about car engines, etc. Is there anyone out there who knows why it might be doing this? I am wondering whether it may need an oil change or something like that, however, when I've taken it to the garage to get it checked out, the stupid thing behaved and didn't make any noise at all.

Sounds like you need new brakes, also check the belts, or belt on the engine. I think the squealing is the brakes though, its a metal tab contacting your rotor to let you know they are worn and needing replaced. thats my guess

Is your car an automatic ?? There are several belts on cars like fan belt and one of these may be slipping causing the noise. If so then a slight adjustment to a pulley will tighten the belt and solve the problem.10 min job if that no parts required very cheap to correct.Or possibly it may be your brakes either binding or worn down too much so metal is rubbing on metal as the brake lining has worn down too far.

most likely to be your brakes either they are worn down to metal or the person who last worked on them didn't assemble them correctly.
