Offline status on windows live Messenger?

Can i somehow see if someone has online offline status, but is really online?

you normally can't see it.. the only way would be knowing the contac's IP and making a PING..
anyway this would only let you know that the contact is connected to the internet but not necessarily to MSN

do not use those webs that ask for your password! they are not safe and you could lose your acount!
