Humans all have personal names. Wouldn’t it be reasonable for God as the Creator of humans to have a name?

Jehovah is a rendering of God’s name in English that has been used for centuries. While many scholars prefer the spelling “Yahweh,” Jehovah is the form of the name that is most widely recognized. The first part of the Bible was written not in English but in Hebrew, a language that is read from right to left. In that language, the divine name appears as four consonants, יהוה. Those four Hebrew characters transliterated YHWH are known as the Tetragrammaton.

God's name was replaced in the Jewish tradition by Elohim which means Lord.

Yahweh:The Hebrew name of God ,the covenant God of Israel when the word Lord or God are found in the Bible starting with a capital letter it has been substituted for Lord according to Jewish tradition.Jews will not speak the name of God because of superstition.

Yahweh when translated from Hebrew into English is Jehovah.

Jehovah is the true God,and he wants us to use his name,otherwise,why did he put it in the Bible.?

It differentiates him from all the false Gods in the world.What would any of us be without a name?

Humans are known for having a good name or a bad name.We even name our animals.

What good is a purchase without a signature? Would we accept a check without a signature?

If these things are that important to us than it stands to reason,that God has a name.

Just because men have taken it out of the Bible and doesn't use it doesn't mean we shouldn't learn about him.

How many close friends do we have without a name? We cannot be close to a person without first learning their name.It is the same with Jehovah.His name is being used today in over 236 lands in 100's of different tongues,and languages,he knows what we mean and that we love him when we call on him.

The name of Jehovah is a strong tower in it the righteous run and recieve protection.Psalms 18:10

For everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.

Problem is, we have lots of translations, little understanding. But fortunately Deity will answer to just about anything that is said with respect.

There is a saying that we should only name something if we attained that something, in other words we got to sense it and know it.

Obviously at our present state we have no attainment of the Creator.

We can only attain Him according to the law of similarity of form, which states that we can only really sense an object or being when we, or our qualities become similar to it.

And at the moment we are completely dissimilar to the Creator based on our qualities, as He is a pure giver, and we only want to receive pleasure for ourselves.

We need to change our qualities and as we do so, slowly we start to attain the qualities of God, and thus we will be able to name Him according to what we attained.
