Supporting two children?
My friend has left his partner, they have two children together. 2years and 5years. He pays for the full mortage of the house, even though his name is not on the deeds, only hers. He supports the family 100%, pays for all their living expenses, that includes schooling, clothing, everything for the three of them. He left because he couldn't deal with the aggression and anger of his partner. He simply works to pay for them. They had tried counselling but nothing positive seems to have come out of that.
My question. Is that how it is these days, that the guy pays for absolutely everything?
I am not saying he is right or wrong, I just want to know is that how it is these days with seperation

it would be expected that your friend support his children and their needs but it sounds like he has taken on the full financial burden, he needs to get some advice from a professional person, he is entitled to a life of his own.

Like the first poster said. He needs to seek professional advice by going to his local child support office or the family court in his area. They'll be able to work something out as far as the children's expenses. Were they ever married? If not, I don't think it's his responsibility to pay for the living expenses, it just doesn't sound right....

He does not have to pay for everything. The mother of the children is also responsible for their welfare.
