Where can I find Peace?

Come to me, all You who are toiling and loaded down and I will refresh You. Take my yoke upon You and learn from me for I am mild-tempered and lowly in heart, and You will find refreshment for Your souls.

For my yoke is kindly and my load is light.

Footsteps

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:

one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him

he looked back, at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of his life

there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you,

you'd walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life

there is only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you,

During your times of trial and suffering,

when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Just keep seeking Him, believe and have faith. Church might not be for everyone but, it's a good place to start.

I might imagine from your question that you are realizing that something has gone terribly wrong. Why is there cancer? Why is there job loss? Why are there relationships that end in conflict?

You don't have to look very far or very hard to realize that things are not as they should be. We're not living in any Garden of Eden. Instead we're living in world where Peace is hard to come by. So your question is quite appropriate. It is one every one of us must ask in his or her life. Getting the right answer is essential...in fact vital.

So to answer your important question I would direct you to an event you and I just celebrated. An event most of America loves but takes for granted. The event I'm speaking of is Christmas. For the first Christmas some 2000 years ago provides you the answer to your question. In a cold, dark hillside, shephards were the first to learn...

"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

You want Peace, I mean REAL Peace. I mean Peace that passes understanding. I mean Peace that doesn't depend on circumstances. ....then seek favor with God.

Peace of mind is elusive.

i asked God for a halo, i found peace through faith.

i sat in my bishops chair, and i had peace for a moment

i suffer sleep deprivation and environmental poisons of all kinds, some say they are blessing others i know are cursed poisons.

but often time even when i feel like im on acid, by way of being poisoned, there is a spirit that comes from above.

i stopped trying to search for a panacea because they all are poison. Ive had some pretty remarkable spiritual experience that defy explanation but when they happen i know from experience they are not drugs.

Jesus is called the Prince of Peace. That's because He is the way to have peace with God. The only way.

God has promised all sorts of things through the ages. But, as Jesus said, "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." There is a lot of peace to be gained, but in Christ.

You remain in his love if you follow His commandments. His commandments to us (they are in Christ, not the Ten Commandments or the other 603 Commandments of the Old Testament), by following His teaching; which is love each other, preach the Gospel, praying, fasting, faithing (trusting), and giving.

I would start with spiritual which will lead to internal which will lead to environmental which will then lead to situational.

Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

it is first spiritual then environmental then situational then internal after that it can be eternal

Try to meditate your Chakras. This has helped me find some inner peace and better understanding of some things.

Peace is only found through Jesus.
