What's the best way to fight trolls?
Since we all witness the number of trolls is increasing in this section, and then we attack each other for trolling, wouldn't you agree that the best way to fight trolls is to simply ignore them completely? Reporting the troll will only lead to deleting his/her account, then s/he would create a new one and keep on trolling. By answering on trollish questions we actually feed them, encourage them to do what they know the best.

If you have to fight them, than you late already. Prevention is the key to success.
It's just the ignorance of some community, giving the birth and rise to trolls.
A change of attitude from X community would give a major improvement to the Liberté, égalité and fraternité of all users.
I told you many times (community X), that you are making or generating the trolls your self.
Your proposal to ignore the questions of troll is not practical.
After few attempts of placing questions and getting deleted all the time,
the troll will just keep trolling in answers.
Even trolls time is expensive, so why to waste it?
Someone in here is trying to be apological to the X - I feel.
Why?

What what you call trolling is a reality of our international relations at the moment. There is a big issue open with those (and other) people. There are negative feelings created on both sides. In the forums there is always an expression of those feelings because here people are writing, not politicians who think twice what to say (even if some people in the forums act like the ministers of foreign affairs).
I think if you ignore them they will keep on doing it because it may often get personal but the original reasons of trolling are not personal at all.

My block list is full with them:) Maybe we should write letter to YA? Who know, this seems endless!

I agree with your proposal. It's obvious from their typing and question making that these Troll are mentally unstable, but too cheap to go and seek actual professional medical psychiatric counseling for their issues. That being said, I guess it would be a small price to paid by ignoring them and letting them continue to post their trollish banter and relieve themselves of their pent up psychological frustration. Better for them to go crazy in here on the internet, then having these same crazy trolls marching into a daycare center and slab little kids.

Bothering myself with "fyromian this or that", no thank you! Ignore, ignore and ignore!

I agree.
I also have a message for Laoplanos, Macedonian Phalanx and other users from Fyrom who are not trolls, I think.
We call your country Fyrom, you don't like it, you call it Macedonia, we don't like it, fine, but we have no personal reasons to hate each other. I am quite sure you don't agree with trollish questions such as the ones depicting Vasiliki as a whore in foreign sections, causing her to see vulgar comments - she doesn't care, because they are all false, but I am sure you agree this is no way to treat a lady.
So, I expect you to support Greek users in going against trolls of this kind. The frequent Greek users always react when a troll really insults our neighbours. It is those trolls who give their compatriots a bad name. and frankly, Phalanx, I don't think they are from third countries. Why would they care so much as to persecute a person like that? You may have confrontations with Vasiliki, or others, including myself, but I expect both sides to keep these on a level of discussing history and politics. And who knows, if we keep an open mind we can learn from each other too. But insults are really something we should both fight.

Damn it Mr.777! I agree with you.
:P
I try to ignore most of them, especially the ones with no sense of humor, but it's still annoying sometimes.
Besides, they don't stop their actions there, but send e-mails to us,
like the one i've just received from F.C. (which was really funny to tell you the truth) calling me names, even intentionally misspelling her other nickname.
But we still have to report their questions like faker's "Vasiliki's" ones, otherwise the space in this section, will fill with junk.

I had asked the same thing some months ago (my question got deleted almost immediately)... I think the best thing to do is report them AND ignore them. Though I too sometimes find it hard...

I think it would be best to get them out of their house for the first time in years, exposing them to the harsh sunlight.
