Which NFL team is stuck with the worst owner? Which team boasts the best owner?

No one has mentioned the two worst owners in the league.

1) Bill Bidwell is so much worse than any other owner in any other sport. He has no interest in winning. He only cares about making a profit. He continuously has a few good players through the draft and then fails to resign them once their initial contract is over. Arizona has been a black hole for talented players and coaches for DECADES.

2) Alex Spanos for many of the same reasons. He allows a GM with personal issues with a specific agent call the shots and lets him fail to resign players (and coaches) who are represented by that agent.

3) William Clay Ford, Sr is another cheap owner who does not seem to want to spend money across the board on enough talent to win.

You might disagree with Al Davis' and Jerry Jones' tactics but both of those owners clearly want to win that makes them better than the three I just mentioned.

The best owner is a much easier question it is Robert Kraft he has been able to win consistently with a diluted talent pool (32 teams) and the salary cap.

how anyone can say Jerry Jones is a horrible owner, thats just beyond me. You simply say that becaues you hate the Cowboys. What other owner has won 3 championships in the last 20 years? Bob Kraft is about the only one I know of. Thats being a bad owner? Wow ok. Anyway, I personally believe the Rooneys are the best owners in the NFL. The worst I would give to William Ford

Everyone saying Al Davis i really don't think he is pulling the strings .

I think Jerry Jones is the worst Owner in the league he mettles to much he shouldnt be seen or heard .. everyother team the coach is the Voice of the team the owner just sits back and listens . What ever needs to be said is always behind close doors .

As a Patriots Fan the team i hear about the Most are the Patriots so my heart would say them seeing how they are the team i know so mouch about . But there are many great owners in the NFL along with Bob Kraft you have .

Rooney Family - Do i Need to say what team

Pat Bowlen - Denver Broncos

Jim Irsay - Indianapolis Colts

Arthur Blank - Atlanta Falcons

Ralph Wilson - Buffalo Bills

Zygi Wilf - Minnesota Vikings ( since 2005 but he is trying to bring a winner to Minnesota )

There is no greatest owner in the NFL if the owner of your team is trying to put a winner together , maybe he is failing but he is trying , then you can not say he is a bad owner .

Hands down Detroit has the worst owners in the league with the decision to keep to many undesirables in the organization that really needed to go and start anew.

Hands down Robert Kraft owner of the NE Patriots is the best owner in the league when you look at consistency and the overall look of how his team drafts and finds free agents year after year

Worst is a tie between Al Davis of Oakland and Jerry Jones of Dallas

Best is a tie between Robert Kraft of New England and the entire Rooney family of Pittsburgh

Im going to have to agree with Gina. Right on with choosing Mike Brown. Its not that they have an awful team, but year after year they continue to draft the type of players that are the number one reason their team has no chemistry, they keep draft players with character issues. Its slowly destroying them and will cost (a very good coach Marvin Lewis) his job. That is all on the owner.

Al Davis is right there as well. Firing coach after coach is one of the worst things you can do to a franchise. All the Raiders problems go on his shoulders.

Ford is in that sorry group too, dont get it twisted. Draft day mistakes for so many years.

This is a NO BRAINER!! It is by far the Detroit Lions's William Clay Ford. He has owned the Lions for over 35 years with the worst combined recored of any NFL team since his ownership. They have had very few wining seasons, have never made it to the Super Bowl, and only a couple of playoff games. He has hired and fired a slew of non-performing coaches and GMs alike. Look how long he held on to Matt Millen until his son actually took charge and fired him....

Worst Owner: Mike Brown of the Bengals

Best Owner: Robert Craft of the Patriots

Jerry Jones is the worst owner and Al Davis time passed by a long time ago. Like Warren Sapp said "He still stuck in the 70's). The best Robert Kraft.

Worst owner would be senile al davis followed closely by his clone insane jerry jones. Dan Snyder was once considered in this group but has shown signs of NFL maturity lately. Spanos is trying to bust into the top group and I am sure he will make further progress towards that group this year.

The Best owner is harder because it is usually easier to critize than to complement, but I would put Arthur Blank, Jim Irsay, Bud Adams, Robert Kraft and Dan Rooney.
