It is commonly stated the aborigine arrived in Australia some 40,000 to 60,000 years ago. This statement is commonly accepted.
The evidence of that is carbon date testing on rock.cave paintings in the far north of the continent. The dating is now in question as one of the paintings dated to be so old, is clearly a sailing ship with the shape indicative of a vessel that did not exist until a few hundred years ago.
Also in question are the oldest human remains found in Australia, which were discovered in Mungo National Park. While the dating does go back so far, the shape and development of the skull is deemed to not be of ancient aborigines, but of a different race of man.
Dr Chris Anderson of the Museum of South Australia who is an anthropologist wrote a paper where he suggests the aborigine arrived in Australia less than 4000 years ago. His method of establishing the recent age was by way of mathematics. As the cultural and habitual practices of aborigines were very much unchanged until the arrival of the Maccassins in the north and later by the Europeans, he used mathematics to calculate the expansion of the aborigine across Australia, given the birth and death rate and the wars/skirmishes they had with each other. He demonstrated that if the population growth remained at it's growth rate prior to European settlement and if the battles they fought and mortality rate was the same, that by way of calculating backwards determined the 400 year margin of their arrival. He used the same mathematical formula and observation of cultural considerations with other nations and was able to calculate back to the arrival dates with known immigration into the Americas and New Zealand. This gives his theory a lot of credibility.
When Dr Anderson released that paper, the vast majority rejected it. Mathematically, his theory is sound.
The other aspect to consider is that the land bridge concept is theory and there is no evidence to prove such a land bridge existed during the time of humans, but rather, potentially pre-dated human existence.
One small but forgotten piece of anthropology, is the belief by some that aborigines came from Egypt. This is far from a popular theory, but the interesting evidence is that there was a turquoise scarab discovered in north eastern New South Wales that is of the correct age and proven Egyptian in origin. There is also in that area a unique piece of geology where there is a earthen hill that mimics the geometry of an Egyptian pyramid. The placement of this hill does not explain itself in geology or erosion, and is suggested to have been man made.
An experiment done about 25 years ago showed that it was possible for Egyptians to have sailed to South America, and if so, would explain the pyramids of the Americas. It is then suggested, that if Egyptians could cross the the open Atlantic Ocean, they could just as easily island hop the pacific as the Polynesians did.
And one last puzzle to throw in there.... the Australian dingo is said to be more closely related to the American coyote than to the dogs of Asia, but only closer in appearance to the Asian dogs.
What is known and not questioned is that the aborigine bears no similarity in appearance to the natives north of Australia, except to those of Papua New Guinea, which of course is where the land bridge from Asia would have passed through.
One last thing, in early 2008, a Muslim Cleric said the aborigine originated from Saudia Arabia, quoting ancient Arabic texts as the source of that belief.
So putting all this together, when you hear the statement "Aborigines arrived in Australia at least 40,000 years ago", ask yourself and those who make the statement..... "based on what factual proven evidence can you say that?"

Well, the aborigines came to Australia around 40,000 years ago, most probably from Papua New Guinea when there was a land bridge in place during the last ice age.
This is not proven though.

they are considered their own phenotype because their bone structure is very unique and different from other races. as others stated there are 5 races but khosoid (or capoid) is a new one and it is indeffinite still, which means they are not really their own race they just claim to be that's all. their information can be found on wikipedia and other websites. they are an old phenotype indeed.

The older estimates of 50,000 or longer are looking more and more likely all the time.
