How do I change the way the font appears on my email?

I have a new computer and the font is very small making it difficult to read. I know how to change it when I'm writing a message but this is the layout of the entire screen.

Click "View" from the Internet Explorer toolbar.
From the drop down menu, rest your mouse on Text Size.
From the menu that opens to the right, click on either Larger or Largest.
