Some singing questions...?
1. Is there something that can show me that I'm able or unable to sing or practically anyone can learn to sing?
2. What's with the whole vocal range thing? I believe (as far as I checked) I can sing from F3 to C5 so what vocal range does this make me? (I'm 15- a boy)
3. How can I train myself to hit notes better?
4. How do you "take a tone"? You know... as before they start singing they take a tone... How do they do that?
What are good songs to sing from my vocal range... I think Elton John's songs, like "Circle of Life", are good for me but not sure... Are they?

1. If you can tell two tones apart then you can sing. Basically the only people who literally can't sing are those who are tone deaf. Don't worry about this because if you are interested in singing you are not tone deaf. It's a very rare condition. People who are tone deaf do not appreciate music.
2. Vocal range is the range between how low you can sing and how high you can sing.
3. I suggest Singorama singing lessons. They're excellent.
4. I'm not quite sure what you mean by this question.
5. As far as good songs to sing, I think it's a good idea to challenge yourself. Sing anything that you like. You will get better by challenging yourself!

im 15 too! have family and friends tell you if your good cuz they wont lie and if you go on musicnotes.com and buy the song or just look on the side where it says instruments it should say the range that is required for that song. i looked it up and circle of life is a f#3-d5 range so go ahead and try. i think you would be a tenor. if you just do scales and work on control you should be able to do alot better.
