There is no reason to believe in anything, which seems to be your choice. It is a valid choice, just not the same as mine.

You ask a question on religion and insist the answer be unrelated to religion. Obviously, you are not looking for an answer to this question, but rather for a way to reinforce your own beliefs, or lack thereof. There will be those who reply only to attempt to reinforce their beliefs, and that will be a waste of their time also, as much as this question was a waste of yours.

Possibly existence has always been. The form of our Universe may be just one manifestation of a great number of universes or a multi-verse.

Regarding perdition and afterlife or reward and punishment for deeds, these notions are a contrivance of our species. It is thought that we may be the only species that knows that the individual is bound to die. Thus the avoidance of this ultimate demise is circumvented by the belief in an afterlife. Punishment for misdeeds in this life is also a contrivance of mankind because we seek justice, but that is a creation of mankind too.

The logic behind existence is embedded in the physical nature of matter. This particular universe which we are are a part of is one that is quite hospitable to the existence of beings, but our planet is the only one that we know of that has sentient beings. Likely there are other worlds that beings inhabit, but it may be very rare.

The big question is why. Why do we exist? There may be no logical explanation. It just is.

i personally don't believe in religion, i think it B ****, because they were suppose to bring peace in the world but instead they are coursing emotional pain and physical pain. when you don't believe in them or don't want to be part of them they find ways to make you miserable by making you believe **** and most likely will kill you.
