My puppy hates the rain. What should I do when I let him out to go potty?

Go out in the rain with him. With a leash preferably.

If they see you do it, they are more likely to do it. My puppy hates the rain too, but I make him go with me.

I have the same problem with my 8 month old min pin... I can get him to walk outside about 15 feet, and he will run back for the door, even on a leash.... If I drag him around, he still wont go to the bathroom. I'd just say drag him out there and let him know its okay, if you are afraid of the rain, he/she will be too.

We usually have to go out in the rain with them then they will potty.

Sometimes I have to take my dog out with an umbrella if it is raining hard enough. Get the leash and an umbrella and go out with it.

I would say that you go out with him when its raining and put an umbrella over you and him.

you should carry him out with him covered by a blanket. then once you feel hes comfortable, gradually remove the blanket. Set him down, while you continue to pet and comfort him. sooner or later he will got o the bath room.

try to take him out between showers.. otherwise, put him on a leash and take him out.. he will learn to hurry up and do his buisiness.
