I'm looking for a pattern?
crochet, that my grandmother gave me back in the 70's...... it's a diagonal strip afghan. done in double crochet on the bias. if anyone can help. Please do......
It begins in the corner and grows, to 52 rows, then you grow it up, not wider, but for some reason, my pattern is missing about 7 words that will explain how to do this..........
Thanks again ahead of time
yes, I have looked on line and the exact pattern I'm looking for isn't there. Also, I've been crocheting for at least 25 years, and this pattern is from October 1972. Thanks again.

If you're looking for something similar you may have better luck trying to find "Corner to Corner" afghans published by ASN. It has 5 designs for afghans crocheted on the bias. It's no longer available from Annie's Attic but I'm sure there are a few places that still have stock of it...perhaps even Jackie's store?

This is one I've used before:
With a hook appropriate to your yarn weight, ch 9, dc in the 7th ch from the hook and in all remaining ch. Ch 8, dc in the 6th, 7th and 8th ch, ch 3, 3 dc in turning ch from previous row. Continue using this row by using a ch 3 between each 3dc group and 3 dc in each ch3 group of the row before, ending ch 8.
