Who is the Angel of Death?

Angel of Death is an angel, whom has been assigned with the task of taking the souls of the children of Adam (peace and blessings of God be upon him) at death.

Some may say how can the angel take souls of so many people at one time? I remind you that this is the world of the unseen and our laws of this world do not apply to it. And God Has Power over all things.

One thought is that Dr Jack Kavorkian could be a real angel of death to people who need and want to die, but biologically their body just hangs on, even though they are disabled and in pain and are miserable. Dr. Kavorkian sets it up so they can take their own lives and leave this earth in as painless a way as possible. God bless him. I think he is in jail now. But because of his courage and commitment to the well being of people, I know about him... and someday we will be able to shed ancient belief systems and become more sincerely human.

Of course, that's not what you meant, but the others said a lot.

To me, death comes to everything, everything that ever is and was comes to an end, at least, in the form that it was. Life must end if it is to begin. I don't know what happens when we die. So I'll either find out, or I won't. But I do know that I am part of God and God is within me, so in a sense, I don't die, I go on, having been part of God's experience.
