Did my cats see their cat friend pass?

Question

I have 4 cats. One of them disappeared two weeks ago.
2 out of the remaining 3 looked kind of sad on the third day after the other cat´s disappearance. They are indoor/outdoor cats.

Now the 3rd remaining cat is an indoor cat, and from time to time she seems to be looking for the cat that disappeared, and I was wondering if the other 2 (the indoor/outdoor cats) might have seen their cat friend pass away. Is that why they were sad, while the indoor cat is disoriented about her friend´s absence.

What are your thoughts?

The 2 indoor/outdoor cats are behaving normally now.
The indoor cat looks at me as if wondering what happened to her cat friend.

The 4 of them are really close to each other.

The remaining cats know, that there is a cat missing. It's just like, if somebody that you had in your life disappearing. You would miss them, and wonder where they are. My cats have done the same thing, when one of them has been put to sleep etc.

Mine could wander around our domicile making loud wailing meows, like he become calling for the different. a minimum of that's what it looked like. We have been given yet another companion cat and now it does not ensue as plenty.

okay i think they seen the cat leave i just think they know where he went and tried to stop it but it went any how so they are mad about it and depressed that the cat is gone try to find a new cat that they will like or try giving them new toys so they attend to forget about it or ask around your neighborhood and see if they seen your cat i hope you get your cat back i really do well got to go bye sincerely megan or its me
