What can I use the tilting wheel (on my mouse) for?

Hi,

I've recently bought a "Logitech Deluxe 660 Cordless Desktop", with a "RX650" mouse. The wheel can be tilted to the left/right. What can I use it for? Can I assign custom functions to the wheel tilt? If yes, where?

I got a logitech g9 and the tilting is for sidescrolling eg in your browser
