How can I mourn my pet?

We didn't find the body, but we know she's gone. We found the snake we think killed out cat. It's the only explanation. There were no other hazards in the area, and she didn't use to go away from our property. She was spayed. I'm so sad.

When my cat died I took some paper and wrote out a long chronicle of my cat.  I wrote down everything I remembered and loved about him.  Then I took it and buried it in the yard.  Before I buried it I read it out loud with a friend standing by listening.  I'm very sorry you lost your cat.  It's an awful thing.

Plant a tree or place another marker in the ground and have a little ceremony for your cat. Once you officially say your goodbyes, you'll feel better, at least a little.
