Doesn't it bother people believing the bible where it couldn't be true?
I mean like when wives for Cain and Able just "show-up" without being created or anything. Here is the story of creation and boom, extra people show-up. Either they were marrying their own sisters or the story is false, which is it? And why doesn't it bother people to have these incongruities in a "divinely inspired, 100% true" story of creation?

I am a spiritual person. I believe Jesus lived as well as The Buddha, Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther King Jr....So on and so on. These were all great people who gave mankind a lot of wisdom.
But The Bible, like any other book, was written by man. And not just 1man...several.
So you could say, and no one could prove you wrong, that 'god' was a fictional character written in a novel designed to scare the average person into giving themselves to the 'church'. The 'church' being a way to control people through fear. A way of controlling the masses.
The 'church' has a stronger hold on most people than their own good sense. Boy oh,boy! I could go on forever with my beliefs.
I belive in spirituality...But I do not believe in the Bible.

1) Doesn't it bother people believing the bible where it couldn't be true?
There is no such passage.
2) I mean like when wives for Cain and Able just "show-up" without being created or anything
??? Perhaps you missed the whole "Adam and Eve" thing that preceded Cain finding a wife.
3) Here is the story of creation and boom, extra people show-up.
Again, ??? Extra people "showed up" the same way then that they do now - yes, the **very same way**. They are born. Perhaps you should have a talk with someone about the birds and the bees....
4) Either they were marrying their own sisters or the story is false, which is it?
Well, *obviously* neither is required. How long did Adam live? Over 900 years. Cain was Adam's son - but what was Cain's wife? If she was Adam's daughter, then Cain married his sister. If she was Adam's granddaughter, then Cain married his niece. If she was his great-granddaughter - I think you get the picture. Cain's wives were - quite obviously - blood relatives, but there is no way to determine how closely related they actually were. The fact that laws against incest were not presented in Scripture until the time of Moses should be a useful bit of information..
5) And why doesn't it bother people to have these incongruities in a "divinely inspired, 100% true" story of creation?
Mainly, because there is absolutely no "incongruity" present. None. From any logical, rational or spiritual viewpoint, there is no incongruity here. What is startling is that you seem to believe that one exists when, *quite* clearly, none does.

Sometimes, all that is needed to resolve apparent contradictions is to read the account carefully and reason on the information provided.
This is the case when we consider the conquest of Jerusalem by the Israelites. Jerusalem was listed as part of the inheritance of Benjamin, but we read that Benjamin’s tribe was unable to conquer it. (Joshua 18:28; Judges 1:21) We also read that Judah was unable to conquer Jerusalem—as if it were part of that tribe’s inheritance. Eventually, Judah defeated Jerusalem, burning it with fire. (Joshua 15:63; Judges 1:8) Hundreds of years later, however, David is also recorded as conquering Jerusalem.—2 Samuel 5:5-9.
At first glance, all of this might appear confusing, but there are in reality no contradictions.
True, there are some apparent inconsistencies in the Bible that are difficult to reconcile. But we should not assume that they are definite contradictions. Often it is merely a case of lack of complete information. The Bible provides enough knowledge to fill our spiritual need. But if it were to give us every detail about every event mentioned, it would be a huge, unwieldy library, rather than the handy, easy-to-carry volume that we have today.
Actually, the Bible is a miracle of condensation. It contains enough information to enable us to recognize it as more than merely a human work. Any variations it contains prove that the writers were truly independent witnesses. On the other hand, the outstanding unity of the Bible demonstrates without any doubt its divine origin. It is the word of God, not of man.

Most people are very naive and need something in their life to follow and live by because they lack the self confidence to form their own opinions and live by their own standards of what they beleive in. I myself prefer to make my own opninions and learn from my own mistakes and treat others how I would wish to be treated. The sad reality is that some people are comfortable living in a fantasy world and if they are a part of a group of beleivers they think this makes them a good worth while person. I have too much of a conscience to live like that, I respect honesty and truthfulness way to much to pull the wool over my eyes like that

When people "box God's abilities in" through unbelief, then they have a hard time with parts of the Bible.
Faith, which itself comes from God, enables me to not "box God in" to what I think is acceptable, real, or believable, but to see the Truth.
And the Bible tells us that Cain was a son of Eve...that Adam and Eve had many other sons and daughters, and that Abel was Cain's brother. That makes Abel one of those "many other sons and daughters" of Eve.

It is often asked where Cain got his wife. Genesis, chapter 5, gives the written account of Adam's lineage. From that chapter, we learn that Adam had sons and daughters; also, that he lived to the age of 930 years. No doubt Cain married one of those numerous daughters or granddaughters of Adam.
In other words, Cain married either his own sister or niece. In the dawn of history, such marriages would have been necessary and would not have been accompanied by the dangers which may result today. God later established laws to prohibit marriage within close degrees of kinship (Leviticus 20:17-20).
Intermarriage of closely related persons such as brothers and sisters today, according to doctors, would result in serious physical deterioration of the race.

Before Cain and Abel was born, many people already scattered in the world and these are the children of Adam & Eve before Cain and Abel.
Marrying their own sister is valid in Adam & Eve generation to Abraham generations. The Law including the marrying was given to Moses timeline, so its means we are under in the Law of Moses, and Jesus is fulfilled the Law of Moses. and Jesus is teaching the Law of Moses even in his time.
you're not reading a whole bible.

Eve gave birth to two sets of twins. Cain and his sister Iqlima were born first and then Abel and his sister Loza some years later. So they would cross marry them
Cain would marry Able's twin and Able Cain's....and everybody did the same cuz everybody had twins one a boy and the other a girl.

There is no doubt, they were marrying their own sisters. There were no such laws during those days that they should not marry blood relatives, because there were only relatives. As time passed they multiplied and then laws were enforced.
