Would he have dared to reply the same way on any US channel?

Last night there was a report on the presidential electionc here on German tv and they asked some older guys from Oklahoma whether they would vote for Obama. One of them said "I don`t like *******." 
Do you think he would have said exactly the same if the interview were on CNN or Fox instead of a German news station?
Oops, I just realized that the word in question has automatically been rejected by the system. So to make it clear, it is the bad N-word.

He probably WAS recorded by other news organizations; but US ones wouldn't play it.

Or, if not him, others who say that wouldn't be chosen by the news folks to be aired.

Yes, Yahoo Answers turns offensive language into asterisks, but somehow, even before reading the last sentence, I was able to guess what the word was.

This is actually proof that there is not as much bias as is perceived in news in the US.  The mainstream media filters out extremism.  All of the news networks must get interviews like this because the opinions are out there, but they realize that speech like this does nothing but perpetuate hate.  There is no sense in reporting things like this that aren't newsworthy, but would dignify and enable like sentiment to continue.
