Why should a hard working man give is money to a lazy man?
what does redistributing the wealth mean to you?
Well the what does wellfare mean to you and tell me what percent of americans are on wellfare and what the majority of them do for a living.
And obama doesn't just want to tax the wealthy we should replace that word with the accomplished so if you have done any thing for yourselves "nurses and teachers" then you can expect tax increases.
Obama is buying cavar and champain but redistributing our wealth.
I am a firm believer in give to those who are facing a hard time or who are not payed for the work they do i am an emt and i understand the meaning of 48 hour shifts with no sleep and only earning 22,000 a year but why should we pay for joe shome with 8 kids so he can get more wellfare?

It means that the person making 750k can afford to pay higher taxes than the person making 45k. Period.

What makes you think or assume that the man is lazy?
So any poor or middle income person that works 40+ hours a week is lazy? Really? Are you religious?
edit: You don't respect the teachers that work in your local schools or your nurses that work in the hospitals and medical care centers? You don't think retail employees work hard?
edit: What is your definition of insanity?
Doing the same thing and expecting different results?
Jobs are not created just because companies have more money. They just give more money to their CEOs and executive management. How many of those positions do you think are available?
The question is how much is enough reward? What are we doing to our country?
You are just thinking of someone collecting welfare temporarily. It is only temporary now.
edit: I make only $40K a year and I work a minimum of 45 hours a week. I take home under $25K. I need more tax breaks so I can afford to pay the ever increasing living expenses. I just finished my MBA with an almost 4.0 GPA. I work very hard. I am not adequately rewarded through work. I have gotten raises and promotions. I have always done well at work because of my dedication to excellence.
edit: What would Jesus do and say? Where are those Christian values in practice? Where is our Constitution?
Is life fair? It's not. Some people are lucky and some aren't.
I gather that you do not converse with many educators and librarians and social workers.
edit: I have always been more than willing to help any student that is struggling. I know what it's like. I'm dyslexic. I'm teaching myself to play the piano and to read music. It's not easy. If I were making $251,000 a year then I would be ok with paying higher taxes (just slightly) because I could afford it and still live a great life. I hope someday that I do make better money. I'm doing all I can to get there. I have modest savings but it is hard to maintain with the ever increasing expenses of just living. I don't think it's just about me.
When did we become so selfish and Scrooge like? When did that become something to aspire to?

Obama NEVER said redistributing wealth that is what McCain said he said...do you really want a liar for President....their are always more people on welfare because of republlicans than democrats...for a dem like Obama spend age 23-26 working to help people get off of welfare & Palin & other people for Bush put him down for that...you have it all backwards!! 750,000 people lost their jobs this year & just this month 270,000 lost their houses....do you know the shelters are so full that the gov. is paying for people to live in hotels?...do you really thing this would be happening with Clinton or Obama as President...Bill created so many new jobs after the other Bush left in a recession...do a search for Bill Clinton accomplishments & see how many new jobs were created...can you see this is directly related to how many people are on welfare......I am a dem. & my life has always been about teaching people so they can be self-sufficent...this stuff the reps. say about lazy people is not true...if a person is lazy they are discouraged..it is not natural to be lazy ask anymother of a 3 year old & she will tell you a healthy child is a non-stop child....lazy means the person needs skills or education or health care & a decent place to work & enough money to pay their bills but this man who can't even pay his property taxes was all worried about people who are making over $250,000 a year having to pay 3% more which we really need...do you really think this man Joe the man who is never going to be a plumber owning his own business should really be concerned about making that much or about being able to pay his property taxes which ironically will give him the extra money to pay for his taxes..you are being brainwashed by the greediest people who are making a fortune that to people voting against themselves. ..we support each other & don't need these people who are making all this money to trickle down to us...If you get your hair done at a neighbor's house & she takes the money & gives it to the kid next door for a glass of lemonade & he buy a box of candy to grow his business & she takes the rest all around town she is circulating the economy that is what we need for people to spend money Obama was saying that people who are spending all their money need a little more to keep well & people who are making $250,000 can afford to give a little more.

Well we have had 8 years of redistribution of wealth. Wealth from hardworking middle class families is being redistributed to people who inherited fortunes and do not work. The stated plan is that these folks will reinvest in in the economy and then it will go to working people. It has not worked. Time to move on to plan B.

Not everyone is lazy. A lot of people are losing jobs thanks to corrupt mortgage brokers and people who didnt read b4 they signed there names to something they couldn't afford.
So thats what u are currently redistributing ur money to. Everybody who tried to get a piece of the pie. The lazy man is still getting that $400 a month but those other people are getting billions of dollars of bailout money.
I'm not worried about the lazy man right now and u shouldn't either cuz they dont compare.

All poor people are not lazy. Many of them work harder than most rich people. The difference is that they could not get into college because they didn't have the money to, so they are stuck working their butts off to feed an entire family on low wages. If only the government would have helped them get the money for college...

Because someone that makes $250,000 or more a year can afford an extra 3% taxes and it will help get this country back on it's feet.
Why should a hard working man give his money to someone who just bailed out of Wall Street with umpteen million dollars as a bonus and THEN went on a $400,000 retreat to get over it? Why don't you ask THAT?

No.
Here is another way of looking at it:
A young teenage girl was about to finish her first year of college. She considered herself to be a very liberal Democrat but her father was a rather staunch Republican.
One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs and his opposition to taxes and welfare programs. He stopped her and asked her how she was doing in school.
She answered that she had a 4.0 GPA but it was really tough. She had to study all the time, never had time to go out and party. She didn't have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends because of spending all her time studying.
He asked, "How is your friend Mary." She replied that Mary was barely getting by. She had a 2.0 GPA, never studied, but was very popular on campus, went to all the parties all the time. Why she often didn't show up for classes because she was hung over.
Dad then asked his daughter why she didn't go to the Dean's office and ask why she couldn't take 1.0 off her 4.0 and give it to her friend who only had a 2.0. That way they would both have a 3.0 GPA.
The daughter angrily fired back, "That wouldn't be fair, I worked really hard for mine and Mary has done nothing".
The father slowly smiled and said, "Welcome to the Republican Party".

Well if by "lazy" you mean:
Working 10-14 hour days, with NO scheduled days off....making the bread that you stuff your face with.....then add my hubby to your list of ones wanting redistribution!

may I add that drops out of high school.
All these lazy bums had the same education rights and opportunities as I have.
I paid for my own why should I help the so called less fortunate. They can go to school and study hard like I did
i do not like paying their way

I'm not sure because I'm a hard working man but get small pay and know one gives me a thing so I couldn't ell ya.....If yoou find out let me know because 32,000 a year ain't enough for busting my but all day either, it barely pays the bills........
