I only know of one and its was Gods way of taking an oath to Abraham that if He (God) ever broke His promise to Abraham that He would become torn in 2 like the carcasses of the animals.

One way has to be considered by any thinking literate person, and that is the narrative structure of the book, which shows that the similarities between this theophany and Sinai are from the SAME GOD. This is documented in the scholarly study (careful, it uses the Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic versions), Pentateuch as Narrative, by John Sailhamer. 

The best book on the subject. And I've studied Genesis in the original languages for a few decades.

This was a strange phenomenon that happened for the reason of making a covenant.  We don't have to understand it, but if you have a desire to understand all the deep things in the Bible, go to Bible school.
