Urgent!!!!!!Why can't I uninstall McAfee Total Protection?

Question

I have McAfee installed on my PC. I cannot uninstall it. It doesn't even work and the security center won't even open. I cannot use microsoft word and my outlook office 2007 won't open mails! What can I do?

McAfee is the ugliest piece of reputable software since Norton.Lol. It's so hard to remove they had to create a removal tool to remove their own product! The link below tells you how to get rid manually and how to download their removal tool if all else fails.

Notice that it's their own site : ) Try AVG free+Spybot+Threatfire.

Try starting the computer in safe mode and uninstalling it while in safe mode.

To enter safe mode, restart your computer and press F8 repeatedly on your keyboard just before the windows logo shows up. You will then be able to select safe mode from the menu.

Go to this link and scroll down almost to the bottom of the page you should see McAfee removal tool and how to use it, it's called MCPR.exe removal tool
