Her outfit last night cost $13,000 more that what I paid for a home in California...This just isn't right, no matter what party you are associated with.

The point is if I had that kind of money I would absolutely NOT wear things that cost that much. I had to earn what money I have, it wasn't handed to me. I don't have the luxury of daddys beer company being handed to me. I just think it shows that they have NO CLUE how the rest of us live.
I am not sure what the "right" amount to spend on an outfit is...probably no more than $5000 would have got her a beautiful and appropriate outfit for the convention. But $300,000...really?
I don't think this is a partisan issue, it was just an observation...I think if they are trying to get the "swing" vote they should appeal to the rest of us...and wearing outfits that cost more than our homes does not help.
Also the fact that john doen't know how many homes they own goes to show you that they do NOT know how the rest of us live.

I am hearing all kinds of outrageous comments about how much she paid for an outfit. What do you think is an appropriate amount of money to spend on an outfit you are wearing in front of an audience of millions of people? Personally, I really do not care, but now that we are on the subject. Michelle Obama's dress and few other outfits she wears do not look professional at all. Hopefully she did not spend much on her outfits. Hillary Clinton's outfits looked great, bet they were expensive too. Palin's looked professional, but not over the top.

I agree. I can't understand why people pay so much for things sometimes. Just because you have more money than you need I don't think you should waste it. So much more good could be done with that money and she could have still spent a tenth of that money on a great outfit.

I wonder how much those pearls were around her neck. She made fun of Sarah Palin's husband and said he needs to dress better. The crowd just chuckled. That's why I hate rich people. They waste their money on crap they don't need and then they say they can't help you. But doesn't that sound like Obama too. His brother in Kenya lives on 1 dollar a month but yet he lives the dream life. WTF. Oh well, I'm going back to work now so I can pay my utility bills. Bye. Oh, by the way, her entire outfit including the shoes, jewelry, ect... was worth $300,000.00.
