hi friends...can you tell me that Mathematics is "art" or "science"?

mathematics is neither art nor science it is mental ability!

Math is definitely science. The laws of

maths have always been there, existing.

We simply have to discover them.

Unlike art, maths doesn't evolve. There is

simply acquisition of more knowledge.

Even the beautiful fractals that arise from

chaos theory are not art. They exist

since nature exists and we discovered them.

Mathematics is an art since one has to use his brain to solve the problem or to prove as same in art to do any creative thing he has use his brain so mathematics is same as art

It is an art, there is not a ultimate right or wrong way to achieve a correct answer to a mathematical problem. It is not a science because it cannot be studied, it can only be learned and understood.

Math is something human beings invented to help us understand and quantify the world we see. I personally wouldn't consider it an art or a science.

Mathematics is definitely a science.

It is exact, it is dispassionate and it is not open to emotional factors and influences. In addition it is composed of facts and figures of objective nature unlike art which is a subjective discipline.

It is an art of science.

maths is not art it requires no creativity but since science requires mathematics u can say it is science.

maths is absolutely not an art..u can some say to some extent science as it is governed by some rules.

I think math is science and art...science because it solves....and art because the symbols are amazing and the fact that there is no end to math.
