What does the plus (+) sign mean after a stock's symbol?

I see it listed, but when I do a search, it gives me a quote of the parent stock sans +, I guess.

If it's the sign I think you mean, it denoted 'ex-dividend'.
Appears from the date on which the owner of that share qualifies to receive the dividend. Usually around 6 weeks befor it is paid.
