In your opinion is Barack Obama egocentric?

All politicians have to be to even want to run for public office. I find O'bama to actually be one of the more even tempered balanced political figures in today's political arena. I think that is part of his attraction to many people. This in itself does not necessarily mean that he would be a good president or a poor president but I'm not worried about his ego for sure.

No he is not egocentric in my opinion. He is a confident man who is intelligent and is committed. Egocentric resonates negative connotations and it is not representative of a man who simply know what he wants and how to get it. If he walked around with his head down, then the question will be why is he so depressed. Not a good look for the next POTUS.

It is CONFIDENCE, not EGO.

I am not an Obama supporter, but I haven't seen him say or do anything that would indicate that he is egocentric. That is more of a Hillary Clinton trait more than anything else.

I think Barack is ahead of himself. He's very young and fuels his campaign, yes, off his narcississm. He will adapt. I am a conservative but think Barack is very rational on things and will be a good counterbalance for this troubled country. So, yes, after watching any regular old speech he gives, I certainly walk away seeing some heightened ego level in him, but think his overwhelming confidence might stimulate America back into the twilight. Yes, I agree. Take care.

He is not ''egocentric''. Just because someone is full with confidence doesn't make one ''egocentric''. He is extremely positive and while others are negative or racist towards him he still continues to walk with his head up high and remains to shine.

Every politician has a hearty and robust ego, so, sure. The question is does it get in the way of admitting the truth when you make a mistake as is does in the case of President Bush?

No. I don't find him to be particularly egocentric. I think he's confident...that's not the same thing.

John McCain has stated:

Now, who has the ego problem?

Yes-- he's egocentric. And so am I. Is there anybody who isn't?

You pretty much have to be to run for president. I'd say the same thing about Bush, Kerry, McCain, Nader, Gore...the list is endless.
