    No.

Unless you count a car being driven by a human a life form too. Or a can opener being used by a human.

The brain is a life form.

    The machine is a machine.

IMO at the current level of technological advancements It would simply be a brain sending electrical signals to move the mechanical parts of the robot however in a few decades time a robot akin to Data from startrek fame could be considered a life form providing the the definition of a lifeform was changed to include such creations that lack a "soul" as it were

    No.

There are several critieria that must be met for something to be considered "alive":

    1) Consumation of energy

    2) Expiration of wastes

    3) Mobility

    4) Ability to produce others like it (reproduction)

(There are a couple of others, I think)

A robot definately consumes energy! But does it give off any waste products? That would depend on the design, but probably not. (If the batteries are not rechargeable, and must be replaced, then these could be considered waste products)

    Can it move? Almost certainly!

Can it reproduce itself? NO! Now, IF the robot has the intelligence and ABILITY to build another robot like itself, then we would have to say yes, but at this point there is NO robot capable of doing that.

And this point is one of the key areas that define life -- ALL living things can reproduce themselves.

So at this point in time, such a robot would NOT be considered alive. It would be a Cybernetic Organism, or Cyborg -- a mixture of living tissue and mechanical parts.

If achieved...the human brain would become the lastest techno-zines!

Perhaps a brain that can seamlessly operate for over 100 years, without a re-boot, and doesn't need yearly upgrades or security patches!

This highly moblie lifeform is considered a fuction in future technology!

Yes, because the brain will live, require nutrition and expel waste.

The robot body is just a tool. If a man holding a hammer is a lifeform, then so is this.

A robotic might want to by no potential sense like a human. they could't even come close. all of us recognize that desktops are extra suitable than every person is at remembering issues precisely and at appearing complicated numeric calculations with %. yet human brains nevertheless beat desktops in quite some procedures. For one, human beings can combine options from many diverse variables and stimuli, and they could study with the help of adventure, remark and experimentation. desktops can not certainly adapt to replacing situations. effective, they're usually programmed to finish outstandingly in a particular field, yet they don't look to be able to operate in diverse disciplines. besides to, the flaws that make human beings quite unique (emotion, empathy, self-knowledge, ambition) are previous the potential of desktops.

Sunshine; There are a lot of bodies with human(I use the term loosley) brains, that I wouldn't actually call "life forms".

I don't think that question has really been considered yet and will not until that type of technology becomes reality. I would assume that it would, as the brain is the source of your consciousness.

I suppose, if the brain once belonged inside a human body.

Technically yeah.. but nobody would consider it a life form..
