Signs full of bullet holes?

My best suggestion, short of launching a grass-roots campaign, is to practice personal responsability with your fire arms. encourage people you know to do the same, im sure you already set a good example, but you can try to talk to young people you know about the deadly responsability involved in owning and firing a weapon. The only consolation i can think of to this issue is you tend to see things like that in gun freindly areas where people are less likly to simply try to ban fire arms to solve the problem.

Just remove all the signs, and pass a law forbidding the erection of any signs whatsoever.* Problem Solved, but what are they going to shoot at then?* Hee- haw.....

yes, it isn't very responsible, however, it is very minor.

I worry about a lot more serious things, like why we have revolving doors on our prisons that let gang-bangers out after just a few months when they are using their guns to shoot up neighborhoods...often neighborhoods were the honest folk can't legally own firearms to protect themselves.

What's to do? Some gun owners simply are irresponsible. If you know who they are then they should be reported to the authorities.

Unfortunately, this goes on everywhere,every state. No excuses, but generally it's youngsters and rednecks having to hit something with their toy. Educate in hunters safety class, but there is always one idiot out there that will do it anyway.

First, it looks bad.

Second, it is an insult to honest hunters/shooters.

Third, it is a crime.

These are dangerous acts of vandalism done by common criminals.

It bothers me too. I have never shot a road sign, and I never will.

not all gun owners are responsible are they ? what can we really do? what about all the crimes that are made with guns? murder, robbery, suicide. WHAT CAN WE REALLY DO? we should ban guns altogether!!! how can we keep these guns out of the hands of the wrong people? well, we have been trying to solve these problems for years and years and there is NO easy solution, is there? i think you have answered your own question by saying that "not all gun owners are very responsible". SO, if bullet holes in signs "really bothers" you than maybe you should look into crimes that are far, far worse. SO, if bullet holes in signs "REALLY BOTHERS" you than maybe you should seek some proffesional help for something that is SOOOOOOOO insignificant. happy hunting dude.
