Here's a list of a ton of English bulldogs who need homes and are going to have a cheaper initial purchase price - plus PICTURES!:

If you pay $500 for an english bulldog then you are either paying about $2000 less than you should be for a quality dog or about $450 more for a mutt than you should.
Did you just pull that number out of your....or are you serious.
Google a rescue for bulldogs, the crate, vetting and transport will usually come in under your budget.

This forum is not the place to buy or sell dogs. If you want to "keep it cheap"--a $500 English Bulldog will probably cost you thousands in the first few years in cherry-eye surgery, palate and nare surgery, skin infections, and possibly hip and elbow dysplasia surgery. All of these conditions are a very real possibility in some of the best-bred English Bulldogs. They are not a "cheap" breed to own, by any stretch. You might want to look into a breed-specific rescue.

If you're interested in a dog but live too far away from it, there is the option of having a dog transported to you/near you. Google "dog rescue transportation."
